    Our former nemesis “Cheer up” Mark McGhee has landed himself a plum job at.....er, Barnet.

    Also our former centre half, and according to some “good shout for manager” Steve Davis, has been sacked by non-league Leyton Orient after only a few months in the job.

    I have mates who are O’s fans and they tell me the love child of Alex Ferguson and Sir Alf Ramsey would fail there. An almost impossible job.

    I thought it was odd that having done a decent job with Crewe for five years he should fail so quickly there. Obviously they want to get straight back up to the league and languishing near the bottom isn't an option.

    In fairness, aside from their promotion from league 2 he did a terrible job at Crewe and I can't believe they held onto him for so long. Amazing what's happened at Orient, a shoot out away from the championship 3 and a half years ago and now in danger of dropping to the Conference South. Unbelievable levels of incompetence.
