there was a group of 6 or 7 15 year old ish lads. Barnsley fans.

As they walked up to the ground, one lad, drinking a can of Budweiser, was spitting in the street, every 10 seconds or so. Scruffy so and so.

Then, as they got to the burger wagon, where his mate was buying something, the guy with the now empty beer can was standing next to a huge bin. So what does he do? Boot the can across the street, and, obviously, for good measure, spit in the street. One of his mates discarded a bottle on the way down the hill. What is wrong with people?

I don't know, it's just one of them things, since the dawn of time old biddies have moaned about the "youth of today". Nowt better to do I suppose.

Nope.My days of challenging kids who know better are gone. As a woman who once challenged the behaviour of our own fans at Leicester the day we got relegated, (when my sister and Mum were also in the firing line for abuse), and having challenged at Burnley a few years ago, I just don't want the aggro. I was walking to the game with my daughter and nephew. Sorry to say, but I have to think of them and steer clear.

You'll be suprised in my experience I can't not let stuff like that go unsaid. I have to have my say.

Other day I saw a car driving in front of me and wanged loads of McDs stuff out of car. I was at traffic lights. Picked em all up. Parked up. Knocked on window and teld em they'd dropped sommet. Put it all thro window. Kids mates laffed at the driver then I saw him put it all int bin.

I understand if uve got kids with u and it could be a difficult situation but my point would be that it shouldn't be your problem and others should step up. Our society and it's morals and the 'ability' to want/dare to speak out is diminishing to the bit where it's gonna totally disappear.

I agree with what you say, but I'm not really in a position to defend myself if it kicked off.

As it happens, if my kids or even my nephew (who is now 6 foot 2) ever did that I'd be onto them in a shot. Not that they would.

Fair play. For me though it's just like confronting bullies. And I've got little mans syndrome :)

If it was just 1 I may have said something, but having been outnumbered before it's not worth sticking my neck out. too many nutters about.

It's all a personal objective. I feel I've let myself if I don't have an input.

I know why some wouldn't, but our society is slowly slipping away and in my opinion our older generation (50/60+) are too scared .
I'm not playing Billy Big Balls coz I'm not but it's just in my nature to stand up and say sommet.

After games when we've lost, I stand up and say that's it I'm going home to kick the dog, I haven't even got a dog, but then again I'm a knobhead too.

Old guy sat infront of me pushed my 10 year old son because he stood up for a couple of minutes in the gangway, didn't bother to speak to him or me to say he was in the way. Walking out of the ground another guy in his 50s pushed passed us walking up the hill because I moved my son off the road and onto the pavement - Some right grumpy old fckers who clearly hate kids as well .
