looking back since the New Chief executive and owners took over I cannot see where they have come up to speed and done anything of great for our club Their communication with the club is virtually non existent, their few appointments , such as Morais, have been at best disappointing. We have no idea what they are planning for next year,. Again bad communication with fans We are now to start a new adventure with a new manager and his staff. This looks promising but Morais did and we were all hoping the new Messiah had arrived. This new manager has at least played football and managed at a better level than Morais I am looking forward to seeing if he can walk the walk As for the existing players Are they any good or was it us the fans that did not see their side of the story Were they caught up in the Morais fiasco and left floundering as to how to play, as he had no idea what he was doing. So will it be new players or the same The jury is out on our Owners and chief executive and whether they are up to speed this time Please keep us in the picture as it is us the fans that counts, we have to pay to watch the end result Cheers
I’ve no major gripes yet, other than I’m still waiting to be updated on this ‘plan’ they had for us. Nobody but them seem to know what it is.
I think the dressing room was lost the minute last season started and jose was on a downward spiral from day one
Decent post Homer, some wise "independent" thinking there... One or two of us will be watching,, looking beyond the veneer..
It’s a big season for the club, but also the players. A lot of the squad have to show their worth this season, or their chance at this level will be gone. If they don’t do it this season, they’ll be at L2 club next season - with us or another club.
All these posts point to Ganaye. Mansford did the communication part of the job much better. But - these new owners have waited to bring Ganaye in so he must have some valuable qualities. However - listening to what Hecky said during his time at Barnsley and after he left then Ganaye has some serious faults. As Gally says ....... jury is still out.
Although the Coaching team are new and therefore an unknown quality, I am cautiously optimistic about next season. One of the main reasons for this optimism is that we already have players who have previously done well at this level and below hence we signed them. Last season was obviously poor and very disappointing and I’m not trying to gloss over that or paper over the cracks. Lest we forget though we were only a few minutes away from survival. I do believe however, that with 4 or 5 astute signings we could well have a squad capable of promotion. Just hope we can get off to a great start to generate more enthusiasm and get the feel good factor spreading like wildfire. Looking forward to the new season. COYR
No maybe about it really. Leeds paid us compensation for him. Had we sacked him we would have had to pay him out.
Buy club, sell players at profit, eventually sell club. League position and results and irrelevant within reason. I think it’s a simple business concept in principle however the quickest way to become a millionaire is for a billionaire to buy a football club
I should have quoted nudger, the maybe was aimed at gg having serious faults. I agree with pillocking 500k out of Leeds for taking hecky off our hands
I think you are being most unfair about our Chief Executive. I have seen him at a number of away games interacting with fans in a friendly way. At the Ipswich away game I explained to him that I had two tickets for the Forest game but the Club had decided not to lay on any more coaches (free coaches if you recall)and we were in some difficulty over our travel arrangements. He said he would look into it and the next day I had an email from the box office asking how many seats did I want and informing me that they had laid two more coaches on. Before the Brentford game my sister had an accident outside of the ground which resulted in her missing the game and being taken to hospital. The reaction of the stewards and medical staff was exemplary (as was that of a fellow fan who stopped to help us) and she wrote recently to the club to thank them for the way she was treated. She had a very charming letter from Gauthier inviting her to see a game next season from the Legends suite at the club's expense. Also I recall that after the Derby game he was on the pitch within minutes of the end where he stood up to some quite tough questioning about his role in our relegation. He could have sloped off and put out a statement on the club website later on. From my perspective we have a good man in our Chief Executive.
Try not to disturb his alternate reality.... you might cause a glitch in the matrix Pretty sure this has been pointed out to him on several threads before but still continues to believe it.
