Currently dabble in this but I have Virgins 200Mb superfast thingy with all the sports and stuff and yes, pay a small fortune for it. We're moving to a farmhouse in the middle of nowhere and its obv not covered by virgin, I want to ditch the expense and have a basic package and just use the firestick with kodi. Being told max speed I can get is 17 - 23Mb with a guaranteed min of 13Mb via BT. So simply, will streaming stuff function ok on such a low speed? Cheers
My broadband is generally in the range 4 to 8 meg and I watched a film last night using IPTV on my Zgemma at 720p quality with no problems, BBC iPlayer works fine too at 1080p (only very occasionally seen it buffering, usually fixed by rebooting the router) so I can't see why you'd have the slightest problem mate. Do you mean SSNHQ and SS4? If so I've found alternatives that work, I just don't know how to replace the ones in the EPG. I found the answer on a forum, PM me and I'll send you details. The SS HD channels went to a different satellite apparently and are gone forever.
When I used to use mobdro I would get that message after a while so I just took it off and reinstall it and it would work again, sithi.
I'd say they are the first of many we will lose before all goes black, just like the HD channels did. All those channels are on one transponder. Think only Eurosport 1,2 and ss box office are totally unavailable E.g. SSN and SP4 can be accessed by pressing down then red button while on the channel and sky Atlantic +1 still works But if they can block one transponder why not the others
Brush Can you pm me how to get ssnhq back on my zgemma box please and any other channels if possible. Cheers Sent from my D5803 using Tapatalk
They went about a month ago. There's geeks working in a fix. Only Euro sport are dead others SSN and ss4 can be got on different frequencies. Not sure how to do it on open box got rid of mine like that about 6 years ago
