As was suggested by a journalist based in France.
As someone posted last night, if they get it right here there’s more chance do it being the other way.

'Feeder Club' - That was Radio Sheffield's take on the French journalist suggesting that we'd get some young players from Nice in order to aid their development, then they'd go back.

I for one was amazed that our local radio station took such a view of a mutually beneficial arrangement between 2 football clubs in different countries.

If BFC get promoted to Premier league the amount of cash that generates would mean the more likely scenario is Nice become a feeder club for BFC. Personally I think it's just radio Sheffield desperately looking for something negative they can spin about the takeover

If we follow then Watford model then absolutely. You can sign for Nice and then we can get them for a low fee or on loan. Watford benefited from their sister clubs European scouting networks, doing just that.
Nine of their first-team squad which won promotion had been on the books of Udinese or Granada before joining Watford.

I can't see it as being a bad thing. As previous poster says the money in the Premier League is such that if we do manage to get there in the future we will have a serious potential for earnings. In the meanwhile our scouting & coaching methods can only be improved. Hopefully the Academy investment can bring more rewards.

Obviously it's all speculation what will happen. Main goal in short term will be to stay up & get Hecky on a new deal.

As long as the club is free to choose who comes and goes then it's no different to signing loan players in the usual way. The issues could come when we're taking players for no other reason that they're not wanted at Nice and they're not much good.

Whether it will be "mutually beneficial" remains to be seen. Potentially it might be.

Let’s be fair, Watford got some really good players out of the arrangement, Forestieri for one. Also, if we’re possibly taking Nice players on loan does this mean that we won’t be paying hardly any of their wages? If so would this free up more wages in our budgets for recruitment here.

If we take one or two players from Nice, no problem. If we just fill the team with a load of foreigners, that's not for me. I still want to see the core of the team made up of young British players.

People have thrown the term "feeder club" around for years, but how many clubs (of our stature) have become feeder clubs in that time?
