Anyone know why no Izzy in squad today? Had high hopes he was on his way back after his cameo the other week. Hope he's not injured again. Personally think he is perfect for the high pressing game. The season we got promoted I thought he was the player that set the tempo for the rest of the team.
He’s struggling, and just hope he can get a run of games without injury. Can’t be nice as a young lad knowing your career is on the line before it’s even begun. Won’t stop a certain person making snide and unnecessary remarks as if Izzy chooses to be injured.
I reckon he will be back on the bench boxing day. He's just back from a long term injury and with four games in such a short period of time, he needs to be looked after. A couple of home games coming up now for a few cameos and then he might get a start at Luton or more likely Burnley if he shows enough against Peterborough and Charlton. He needs minutes but maybe they thought an away match on a poor pitch wasn't the best thing for him after just 20 minutes under his belt. I wouldn't worry that's he's injured again.
No player these days gets ...a run of games... They must be bang on the money to play.. like it or not. With how easy managers lose their jobs and the pressures of the modern game, they just don't give players that luxury any more.
I don’t think that Isgrove is injured at all but ultimately you can only have 18 players in a match day squad and I’m struggling to see who Stendel could’ve omitted from the bench in order for Isgrove to feature.
Yes poor old Lloyd. In the top 1% of earners in the country but would have been on SSP months ago in the real world. I don't know why we spend time worrying about people on zero hours contracts or those who haven't had an inflationary pay rise for eight years. There are professional footballers to worry about. Shall we arrange a crowdfunder or summat?
He was just left out yesterday. Your always going to have replacements on the bench for the spine of your team so Greatorex, Jackson, Dougall and Victor were automatic. Brown provides utility options at full-back, wide and through the middle so is also good to have on the bench. That left two from three of Isgrove, Bahre and Moncur and it's entirely understandable that he didn't want two blokes on the bench who are only fit enough to do 20 minutes so went with his mate Bahre. Toss up maybe then between Moncur and Isgrove but with Brown and Bahre able to cover the wide positions, you can see why he went for Moncur, particularly if Mowatt or McGeehan had got injured early on and he didn't think Dougall could do a near full game. Therefore the bench selection was logical and Isgrove missed out but I'm sure he was available yesterday.
What are his wages? He must be taking up a huge chunk of our budget to be in the top 1% of the country. I'm surprised we can sffaffa squad with him being paid the majority of what we are allowed to spend
Quick Google show to be in the top 1% of UK earners you can earn over 5k a week..... https://www.google.com/search?q=top....69i57j0l5.12006j0j4&sourceid=chrome&ie=UTF-8
He's right to be fair. Still doesn't make the constant anger directed towards Isgrove any less odd mind.
He might be. But is there an accurate source for it? I'm as frustrated as anyone that Lloyd hasn't played many games for us but making up 'statistics' is worthless.
