Some of you might remember that nigh on 5 years ago I told you about one of my grandkids ( lil flash) harry being born 11 weeks prem and weighing in at a massive 1lb 8 oz and with the help of the fantastic people and staff of the n.h.s. he's doing brill, anyhow just to let you know he starts BIG school on Monday !
Brilliant stuff. I've got loads of friends and relatives who work for the NHS in various capacities. Each and every one of them is an absolute legend.
I know just how the opening poster feels.... my daughter (who is now 27 in October) was a premature birth at about the same weight. She had (premature) twins on the eve of new year's eve last year. They were in hospital (Sheffield and then Rotherham) for months on end originally. I could not believe how tiny they were when born. I have the utmost respect for the staff who work in the NHS ( I might just make one exception for the ex-wife though )
