Not a surprise you are unhappy. Based on looking at their records and the comments from the St Mirren fan on here I hope its Ross but will not be devastated if its Toshack. I also dont know how accurate the story is as @redarmychris indicates there is at least one other in the frame and he may know more than a BBC web sportswriter
Although he's not managed in the FL, Toshack appears to have the right qualifications and is used to working with talented young players all aspiring to break into Swansea's Premier League squad through his work with their U23's. I would imagine, he could also rely on advice from his Dad who has managerial experience at both Club and International level. For me, it's Jack Ross who has the biggest dilemma. He's in charge of a team who are currently at the top of the Scottish Championship and barring a major implosion look to be certainties to play in the Premiership next season. Does he stay where he is and settle for trying to survive in the league with a team with limited resources which could be relegated, or does he take a risk on being able to make his mark at Barnsley, where if he is a success like others before him, he could get a big money move elsewhere unless of course he could achieve that with us.?
Neither can I. Would be happy with him. Doomed for the drop to the third tier he kept them up. This season absolutely walking the league. No doubt would get improvement out of Malan by working with him again. Plays attacking positive football. Win rate over 50%. If everyone looked for experience, nobody would ever get the chance to prove they are good enough.
