Odd signing in my opinion. Can only assume that they're pruning the wage bill. Sent from my WAS-LX1A using Tapatalk
900k and Grayson knows him well. Pennies for them init? If it fails it doesn't matter in the slightest to them. If it pays off it's an absolute bargain.
I don't think they have much to invest and massive debts. Sent from my iPad using Barnsley FC BBS Fans Forum
Shame, I'm on record as thinking he's the striker that could have made a big difference to our fortunes this coming season. Oh well 'En avant et en haut' as they say.
Seems odd they're paying more for an injury prone Vaughan who's coming from league one, than McGeedy who actually proved himself last season in the Championship. That sums up how little sense the transfer market is.
He's a striker in form. A good striker is worth 2-3 times more than a good winger/midfielder. Goals are King!
It's an average of 27 games a season. He's probably played more in some than others. I think he could have complemented our strike force but I'm not sure he would have been the answer to our prayers. Sent from my WAS-LX1A using Tapatalk
There's been one or two on here fancied him, within our price bracket, but no resale value... shame Be interesting to see how he does..
Not for me especially not for nearly 1 million injury prone no re sale value and hardly prolific. I do like the guy though always remember him saying to luke steele keep the ball don't kick it when we was drawing 2-2 against Hudds and posh were relegated.
Why does every player have to have resale value? On paper, Hendrie and Wilko had none but what they brought was priceless.
No but he is hardly prolific at this level either so he so 900k I doubt he will score many and we won't be able to sell him on so he hasn't got.much going for him imo
Wilkinson wasn't prolific when he was with neither was Jon Macken. Both did a good job. Sent from my iPad using Barnsley FC BBS Fans Forum
Reports in the Sunderland papers reckon the Mackems have only paid £450k for Vaughan. They've paid £238k to take Aidan McGeady from Everton and are said to be preparing a bid to buy Ross McCormack who has been told by Steve Bruce he can leave Villa. As well as the parachute money they've made £24.23 mill by selling their keeper Jordan Pickford to Everton.
