But Scotland is a short fix, we were looking for someone for future seasons and whilst he aint pulling up many trees at the moment he has time on his side and a manager who seems to believe in him.

Last thing we need is another striker who's only got 30 minutes in him. We've already got Lita & Hemmings to do that

I never suggested that we should sign him, Django.

I was simply informing this board that he was leaving Hamilton.

Hemmings is a short term fix too. Or at least I hope he is because I will be very disappointed if he gets a new contract.

Exactly. Thought that was a mistake at the time. Always looked a decent option if not physical enough for every game

Played in the same division last season. Hemmings scored over 20 goals, Jason Jason didn't.

I'm certain Danny Rose would've been a better option for us this season than both Hemmings & Lita

I thought flogging Danny Rose was a mistake at the time and it looks even worse now.

I'd have kept Danny over Lita, and said as much at the time. However, as much I was against Leroy's signing, I expected him to score goals. He's not even done that, not since August.

I rate Winnall. The young lads look promising but it's very early days for them. Turnbull is steady for this league. As for the rest I wouldn't be sorry to see anyone leave. Some of them I'd chip in for their bus fare.

Thanks for the reply, whilst av got thi interest what would you put your negativity towards the club over the last 3 or 4 seasons down to because you used to be a fairly positive poster.

    Genuine question.

    Keith Hill at a guess.

I think the club has been in a general malaise since about 2001 and we've never really bounced back from relegation in 2002.

There's been the odd half hearted attempt at progression - both on and off the field - and I thought the tide was turning when Mark Robins came to the club. It's been downhill since he left.

We used to be a club with ambition and a proud tradition. Now we accept any old ***** because it could be worse and we try to fool ourselves into thinking that useless players are actually half decent. I thought the team that was relegated in 2002 was the worst team I would see. Little did I know that would be the start of it. We've only finished on the top half of a division three times since 1997 and after a while it becomes tiresome.

I think things will continue in this vein for the foreseeable future. If I don't see a significant improvement in the next four months I will not be renewing. This might be a downbeat view but that's how it is.
