    We did, but that was a January window, when good permanent signings are harder to come by. Not sure if we’d be looking at loan signings so early on in the summer window.

    I can’t say I’ve seen much of the lad, but I know he’s hardly rated. Maybe I’m wrong and we think he’s a level above anything we could bring in permanently.

    Leeds fans seem to rate him and I know he played in the last few games - no way we could buy this lad I dont think and if they see him as better than what we have and he is available on loan its worth a punt I guess

    I’d be surprised at that one tbf. Only one year left on his deal at Leeds although they’d get compo anyway.

    Would be a signing of intent though. Itd be £3m at least I’d say.

    A 6 month loan deal would make sense if Leeds don’t see him as part of their Premier league squad . Playing week in week out in the championship for a team who like to press like Leeds would be good experience for him.

    I personally think we should look to start using the loan market again it can work well with the right signings. Also I think as Struber builds respect with other coaches such as Bielsa, then the chances of landing a quality player such as this lad Shackleton increases.

    Even the teams at the top used the loan market to increase the quality of their squads last season. I am hoping this is one of the lessons that we have learnt , i.e. the loan market should not be ignored.

    Leeds fans also highly rated Halme, Odour & Mowatt.

    I wouldn’t be too surprised. However, these things are always only rumours at this stage of the window.

    I see no problem raiding Leeds for their cast offs. I actually liked Wilks when he played out wide at the beginning of the season. If he could square the ball he'd be a lot better player.
