    Just agreed to leave Blackburn.

Would be a great fit given what Hecky can do with young talent.

Would be delighted if he came back to Oakwell. Got bags of potential.

Imagine he's staying at Accrington though. Think his long term level is much higher with right coaching.

Looked a world beater with us - then when Bury came he looked Sunday league.

Worth a punt imho if he's not got another club lined up - low risk.

I liked him, but think we've moved on a bit since he was here. maybe train with us in summer if he's not fixed up with a club...

Sorry guys. I went to watch Accrington earlier in the season,. He wasn't outstanding at that level.

I'm surprised we're not looking at Danny Mayor from Bury . One of the best players in league 1 last year .

Has struggled in the bottom 2 leagues since leaving us.

What I do find funny though is that at the time, many on here said there was no way in hell that we'd be able to sign either him or Ryan Williams on a permanent deal.

One now plays for us and the other plays regularly in the 4th tier.

I disagree, I've seen him multiple times as I work at Accrington and he was one of their stand out players.

Defenders would often double up on him because he was such a danger but he still created a lot and Accrington fans would love to have him back.

Hopefully Hecky signs him because with good coaching he could be a top winger.

So why hasn't he been loaned out to club at a higher level then?

If he had potential surely other clubs would be looking at him?

Blackburn don't fancy him at this level either.

Nothing wrong with League 2 level. We've got a lot of our best players from that league in recent years.

Other clubs may well be looking at him, that could be why he's left Blackburn.

He may not be able to cut it in the Championship but he's worth a punt on a short term deal based on what I've seen of him at Accrington and what he did when he was here last time.

I'm not disputing where our players have come from.

They've all been the best players that we've taken from their respective clubs and have caught our eye.

If John has caught the eye of our scouts and they see fit to bring him in then fair enough.

The other thing is, what did he do when he was here last time? I can't remember him doing much until his last game.

Blackburn fans think he hasn't had a fair crack. Was looking good pre season then loaned out.

Accrington fans reckon he was cut above.

Who knows. If he's a freebie, with good coaching, he may be worth a look. Still young enough to improve a lot.

Might be irrelevant as he could be off elsewhere. Just when we are looking for young talent, here's a lad we were going to buy a year ago now available for free.

If we only looked at players other teams at our level also wanted we'd never sign anyone!

When did I say that? I'm all for signing good players from lower leagues, it's done us well so far.

Just don't see osullivan as one of those players.

    Well we need depth.

We have another loan player we will need to replace.

    Makes sense to me.

Unless he has already agreed something elsewhere but I note he has liked plenty of tweets from reds fans who are suggesting it
