I listened to a lot of the commentary of the match and he just kept smashing sixes at will. He and Root had a fantastic partnership but, as usual as soon as one was out the other quickly followed. No wobble though - Yorkshire cruised it racking up their biggest ever winning score in a 50 over match.
Yes well done to Bairstow Jnr for smacking the bat everywhere, and helping us beat the Newcy wannabes Durram. Im sort of quietly confident about Yorkshire this season, even if it means winning a 'one day' Cup instead of the County Champship.
Winning a one day cup is a priority I would say, seeing as it has been so long. I haven't bought my T20 season ticket yet because I am still smarting from too many disappointing Friday nights last season. I might still get one - I live too close to Headingley not to get one really. I don't mind Durham but it was noticeable hearing the radio coverage yesterday how quiet it was when they did something like hit a six or take a wicket. They are a bit like MK Dons fans in a way - new to the game and don't travel much. If that had been at the Riverside you would have heard lots of noise from the travelling Yorks support.
Does anyone actually show extended highlights of domestic cricket anymore? I know sky show a couple of matches live per week, but apart from brief clips on Sky Sports News thats about it...
If you go on the YCCC site there are always highlights there of the previous days play. The production values are rubbish though as they seem to have a fixed camera focused on the square so catches and boundaries are usually out of shot
At least he won't have to wear that horrible ODI jersey that's the dark blue of Scotland and littered with Natwest advertisements. It looks cheap too compared to previous designs.
I don't mind Durham either actually and I think they were treat very harshly last season. Not only did they get relegated as a punishment they've also been hit with a big points deduction for this season. As for our quest to win a One day competition this season, lets hope if we get there we wont choke again in the Qtrs or Semis.
When the games not on TV they can actually live stream the matches. The ECB provided all clubs with top camera's for selectors to be able to watch.
I watched quite a bit of the Warks/Yorks championship game on the YouTube stream. It's very basic in that it's a camera at either end and no commentary or replays but I did enjoy it. Not sure if any other clubs do the same or whether it's just Warks. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
A club did it last season Wellsie but the ECB have made it possible for every CCC. They are basic but it's watchable.
Yeah it is, I've got youtube on the tele so managed to watch it on there. Be good if they could link the bbc commentary up. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
