What if the players brought in are better than the ones who have left? After all most of the players sold for millions were fetched in either for free or for a pittance. The ones brought in have cost between £200k up to a million.

The problem is that it's almost a completely new team, and they new players are going to take time to get up to speed at this level. I understand the point you're trying to make - we've paid more for them than what we did the likes of Hourihane, so the club must rate them highly.

The difference for me, when we signed the likes of Hourihane and Winnall, we had time to let them grow, as we were in a poor league. 'The plan' started then, and it took well over twelve months for us to reap any rewards. Throughout the plan we've always brought in new players along the way. We've never had an almost new squad, like we have now. Even looking back to the signings of Yiadom and MacDonald - they came in at a time when morale in the squad was great, and we were on the up following promotion. Now we've been stripped of the majority of our assets, and the players brought in are going to be expected to hit the ground running.
