    1st half was the worst 45 mins I have seen Barnsley play in 40 years. To a man, dire, Cavare being the cream of all crapness. Thought their 2nd goal was offside in the build up. The amount of times their players slipped or fell over yet STILL got up and beat our man to the ball ....... dear oh dear.
    2nd half, we go three down and start playing. IT'S TOO LATE BY THEN!!! though if Moore had put the corner away I believe we would have gone on to draw.
    Positives from Thiam and Mallan, couple of great crosses from Izzy.
    Townsend and Cavare? Not for me, thanks.

    I don't buy into this, 'what do folks expect at Boro, they're top 6 and millions of pounds of talent'. .......... I'm not saying we have a divine right to win there but we, as supporters, have a divine right to see a bit of effort and determination.

    Survival? Big ask.

    The worst forty five minutes since the Burton game which was, at the time, the worst forty five minutes in our history. We've got to stop delivering an abject half of football where the game is all but won.

    Didn’t go but saw the highlights.

    Heckingbottom as truly stitched us up with some of these signings

    What on earth is the defence doing for all three goals? Absolutely no desire to close the ball down or block it

    I cannot remember the last time one of our full backs blocked a cross

    We deserve to be where we are if we can’t defend our own box

    Today was all about Joses team selection in the first half. Cavare was terrible,looked overweight and unfit and certainly couldn’t get up and down the pitch.should have been replaced by Yiadom quickly and at least half time.
    Townsend is rubbish I’ve decided . Davis is a good shot stopper but questionable sometimes over decision making but Townsend has been to blame now too many times, the first goal looked once again his problem and kicking certainly no better than Davies.

    Hammill should be in the squad at the very least .
    A very experienced player at the highest level and indeed ‘wants’ to fight for Barnsley and can be a game changer.

    I think we’ll survive because the three teams below us thank god are even worse but Jose needs to stick with a team now a tweak here and there and not wholesale changes every time

    We must win Tuesday.

    Look how much birmingham and sunderland pay their players yet they are below us. They pay their players far more than ipswich too.

    Sorry pal it’s not ‘eff all’ to do with money.

    The teams below us may have spent a little more but if you compare the relative league positions to the budgets there will be a very very strong correlation. It won’t be exactly most spent top least spent bottom - of course not - but it won’t be that far away.

    Budget though doesn’t excuse unnecessarily changing the back four, and the defenders not closing down, nor lack of desire.

    The squad we have don’t deserve to be any higher than we are, but no lower either. The three sides below us are there on merit.

    I never said we didn't deserve to be where we are: we deserve to be where we are.
    But i'd argue that is down to poor recruitment and management rather than lacking finances.
    Millwall aren't doing too bad lately: they are our equals in terms of budget (perhaps less so). There are too many anomolies in football for it simply to be all about money.

    What we don’t know is why he was saying that. He may well have just been saying it to poke a finger at the board.

    He didn’t know anything about Knasmullner for example
