Nowt to do with formations or systems, more to do with players unable to be good enough often enough Potts lost the ball in the centre circle very weakly but their player then ran through unchallenged. Where was the new Neil Redfearn? Where were the defenders? The second is weak as piss from Mills That miss from Moore is worse every time you see it
It’s so easy to blame the players. It’s not the foooking players for FFS !!! It’s the atmosphere generated in the club. It’s the management team.
What on Earth does this actually mean? You’ve no idea what the atmosphere is like from the management team. I’ve been told it’s generally good in the squad We don’t have enough quality It’s as boringly simple as that.
Don’t think the management team can really legislate for ***** defending and woeful finishing or dodgy ref decisions to be honest.
Our team couldn't be arsed to try and stop their first goal, which was a regulation save that Davies could have still done better with. We fluked an equaliser from a poor cross nowhere near a red shirt that Leeds somehow put in their own net. Leeds second Mills got bullied off the ball far too easily. Moore missed a Dave Regis sitter.
So the manager is exempt from blame then? I'm not blaming him for where we are in the league but he is responsible for setting us up in the best way possible to win games and for motivating the players to go out and fight in a local derby, for organising how we defend, for organising the strategy of attack. If we have Bradshaw on his own up front, which way are the midfield going to pass? Across the width of the pitch to spread play as there's nothing up front which in turn is asking for interceptions, very bad pass from Potts yes but then Mahoney is well placed to make a tactical foul and stop the counter he just wanders off past the play (because he's not a CM, and he's hardly played) ***** goalkeeping granted thats also not Joses fault. Mills was tragic today and it was Jose's call to play him at CB in front of Pinnock. He is making mistakes each game which are costing us, he doesn't have much to work with and has been given a massive task but I don't think he is improving us that's all.
I don’t disagree but why do we expect him to improve us in so little time? Perhaps this is as good as these players get!
Mills very slow to close down the first goal as well. Good finish, but far too much space. I was pleased to have him back in the team for the extra experience. He had a shocker though. Nearly gifted them a goal before those two errors. Hopefully Jackson can come back in vs Forest.
This is the issue. Pinning our hopes on Jackson who whilst better than Mills still isn’t good enough often enough
Most of the team isn't good enough. I'll be glad when it's all over now. If we go down we can have no complaints. The seeds of our failures this season have been laid in the last 3 transfer windows.
If we survive, I am not sure that I would be over enthusiastic about it because it would likely mean that next season is more of the same. I just want to see us win more than a couple of games of football a year.
well in the case of this is as good as we are, you go as direct as possible try and create random chaos and you drill the **** out of set pieces all week, we had three corners early on and every one just a random chip in, no signalling, no short runner, no edge of box runners nothing
