Only caught the back end of football heaven but did they say he's not available this weekend? No update on whats wrong with him.
He said he wouldn’t like to comment either way tbh. He didn’t know and probably wouldn’t until the catch up on thursday
Get him a crash hat on a-la Peter Cech and get him out there . I'm joking btw before pc utd wade in, there's some miserable chuffs in this thread .
There must be a reason as to why there hasn't been an official announcement as to the specifics of Kieffers injury. When he does come back, at first, I wonder if he'll be a bit wary of heading the ball.? He's a big lad and as such, in the past he's had difficulty in getting the ball out of his feet, so it's possible he might not be as effective as he was before his enforced lay off.
There's a time lapse between his head and his feet, he's so tall. It takes light about nine minutes to get from the sun to the earth so with him it'll be pretty similar.
There are some REYT wallflowers on here.... someone posted something that turned out to be wrong. Get over it, it only happens 48,000 times a day on here, I am guilty of it myself. I suppose their face just doesn't fit....again. Folk acting like they were crying over Kieffers' condition, sat in anguish waiting for news, unable to sleep. And have now found out they were given wrong information and are lashing out like a scorned partner. It's embarrassing.
Daniel's said before he doesnt like to give updates on player fitness as it keeps the opposition guessing on his team selection. Makes sense to me.
If it's true what I've read, and he only misses Saturday/ Tuesday, then I'm very happy with that. Saturdays win was soured by his injury and I'm pretty sure the news will give everyone a lift - apart from our promotion rivals.
While I can understand that in the majority of circumstances, those at the ground (both sets of supporters) and anyone who saw the footage or even heard the news he Kieffer was taken to hospital are genuinely concerned for him. Putting those fears to rest will not damage our chances in upcoming games. I don't believe the club have adequately updated people or relieved their concerns with the news they have released. On Saturday a poster on this forum was rounded upon for suggesting we have no adequate cover up front. He was told that football wasn't important at this time it was the health of the player that mattered. If what you've said is correct, the concerns people have for the health of the player are secondary to football matters in the view of the club. Personally I think they should say he's OK if he is, or not if he's not. We might not know Kieffer personally but it kind of feels like we do.
I'm sure kieffer could update on his twitter page if he wanted to. We know he's done sone light training so sounds like things are not as bad as was feared. When he's ready I'm sure he'll be back, desperate to add to his goal tally.
