Anyone just watched his interview on sky sports after the Wigan defeat? Describes the performance as "embarrassing " and "one of the worst from any of his sides ever." Erm....hello.......******* Altrincham? ???

Not one corner all second half, even though for most of it they should have been pushing for an equaliser. He loves a run of the same as he's shown with every club he's been in charge of his teams form changes from one extreme to the other. After four wins on the bounce it's now two defeats in a row.

Did they do less sideways/backwards passes than Wigan?

In 50 years of watching the Reds, Altrincham was the most embarrassing performance I can remember.
There probably have been worse for other people but I think Altrincham was the worst for me.

And for me. 24 years, and Alty was the pits. He should have been sacked that night, no question.

    Yep.

I'd have let him go at the end of the previous season to be honest. It was obvious from day one the bloke was a conman. Most boring football I have ever seen from a Barnsley side.

    I think he's a snake.

People give that name to Winnall, but Jesus.

Cryne refused to pull the trigger - he should have! - because he was too considerate to sack a man with a family as Christmas approached.

By the middle of February, on the first decent run we had, he had gone. I was happy and relieved he had, but the fact he went at the first opportunity shows what an utter serpent he is.

That plus the absolutely pathetic Guardiola-lite football with lads not equipped to do it.

I hate Nigel Spackman. I used to want to put my face through the screen when he popped up on Sky telling other managers where they were going wrong. In my mind he is the reference-point for an absolutely horrendous manager.

He is more of a man, though, I imagine, even if the football was similarly shocking.

Absolutely pinching an extremely good living. Well backed by his employers, with a decent squad, but flying by the seat of his pants and getting away with murder.

Losing run gets the fans on his back, then he'll have a winning run and alls forgiven.

I don't think he really effects things on the pitch, otherwise his teams wouldn't go on such contrasting runs of results.

It must drive their fans mad knowing that their great run will soon be followed by the total opposite.

Think he was on the verge after that day.
