Died outside Elland road today. Pushed a child out of the way of a car and got knocked over himself. Makes you really put into perspective what today's game actually meant.

    RIP hero

Some reports suggest he didn’t lose his life and was talking to paramedics with a pretty badly broken ankle.

Would like to think that might be the case, a heroic action does not deserve to be followed by your demise.

I also think of that kid (and his parents), if the bloke (assuming it was a bloke) has died, they might never get over that. It might ruin the kid’s future, the feeling of guilt, the images remaining. It will have been hugely traumatic, so PTSD maybe.

Horrible, really terrible, but a tip of the hat to the person who sacrificed themselves for a child. I like to think I’d do it too, but (fingers crossed) I’ll never have to find out.

RIP sir, or, hopefully, get well soon.

Unsure then, mate. Hope it's true. A friend on Facebook said she walked past as the 'paramedics desperately tried to save the victim".
