20 million quid for a second tier striker. One who by his mid 20's has never scored a goal in the top division. Absolutely beyond mental. Who's trying to buy him btw?
It's just crackers . He's had one decent season at championship level , they were slagging him off the year before .
One goal every two games, if he was still under contract we probably would be able to hold out for that. But I suspect we'd capitulate around the £10 million mark.
Reportedly around seven Premier League Clubs keen on signing him. Definite that Swansea have and Huddersfield have shown an interest. Other teams are apparently West Ham, West Brom, Stoke City, Southampton and Crystal Palace with Huddersfield appearing to be the front runners to eventually get him.
He's got a decent scoring record at Championship level. Not sure he'd make the step up to the Premier league, but those clubs must think he could.
What do you think the BFC equivalent asking/acceptance price would have been? I'd go for 750,000, and grateful to get that.
