If they do then he will go.
He was all set for Sunderland until he found out he wouldn’t have any budget to work with.

    Their fans want a "name"

I know "Heckingbottom" is quite a long name, but I don't think they'd be happy with his appointment.

Hecky would be just another fall guy in waiting if he went there. They will never find another Don Revie character to lead them back to the promised land. Plenty of their fans think it is their given right. I hope they stew at this level, and preferably below it, for another hundred years or so.

Hecky and leeds is just no fit on many levels imo .
The only thing that I can think Hecky would go there is the inevitable compensation in the short time he would be there.

What a surprise here we go again. Nixon will be the next one telling everyone exactly what Hecky will be getting how long his contract will be for what colour underpants he's wearing, it's all ******** they try to make themselves appear to be ITK and that their fingers are on the pulse of football when really theyre hacks throwing names around and shouting about it when one comes off and saying nowt when it doesn't. I'll believe when Heckys got a leeds scum tracky top on not before.

If I was him I’d go.

As much as that pains me to say, with it being those ******* up the M1. It’s the one job that’s cropped up that is more suitable than the others.

If this is true then what I am not of is "why"?

The guy is a hero to Barnsley fans irrespective of current frustrations and concerns but given his recent record, judged from outside, I don't get why he would appeal to another club right now.

I reckon he will go if they want him too. More money, bigger transfer budget, bigger crowds, guaranteed to be still in the championship for next season and may feel like he's taken us as far as he can. If they got shut of him he'd get a good pay off and his stint there won't have ruined his reputation because they are a sack happy club, and so he'd soon be back in football somewhere.

Funny thing is I reckon if he went there he would fail and couldn't blame the wage budget or transfer funds. Hecky out

When I heard Leeds had announced their latest sacking, I did wonder if this may be the one he goes for. Watching how sky presented it, they certainly featured Hecky much more than the other names, almost as if they were highlighting why Leeds should want him and how he would fit.

If I were hum, I'd take it. The toxicity in Barnsley is building, if it continues he and the owners are in for a torrid time, at least once sacked at Leeds, he'd have compensation and a crack at a decent job after the basket case.

Could be best for all parties if he goes. The only thing I would worry about is the players he's just signed for us, how would they fair under a new manager?

If he did go then it makes somewhat a mockery of everyone trumpeting the signing of a new contract.

I struggle to believe Leeds would want Hecky, he's a fantastic manager with the right resources but Leeds only go for big names.

If he goes to leeds we wouldn't need a new manager.... We could just wait a couple of weeks for leeds to sack him and have him back.

    Looad er ballacks.

There are enough people questioning whether he can even cling onto his job here, never mind whether he can cut it at the only club in the world bigger than Sheffield Wednesday.

They're interested in a guy who has won 1 in 16 games and had one of the worst calendar years in the club's history results-wise in 2017? I don't believe it for a second.
