Politicians on the left and the right attack the BBC for alleged political bias....tells you something?
I don't think you'd get away with that, all "live" TV is being viewed after the event - even with transmission at the speed of light there is a delay. It is even more delayed by digital transmission/reception, try getting a live event on a DAB radio and an analogue radio and you'll see the difference. Back in the olden days you could have the cricket on the telly with the sound off and have TMS on the radio, doesn't work now because of the delays being different.
My new TV licence arrived in the post the other day £150:50 so that's 41.2p per day... I do not call that expensive at all.
Re: My new TV licence arrived in the post the other day £150:50 You might not, for other people £150 a year might be quite useful.
I'd suggest that Stool Pigeon, with his 4 tv's, can probably afford it. It's just cheaper to leech off other people who fund the content getting made. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
If only there were a way to make only the people who want the content pay for it. You know, like if you don't want Sky you don't have to pay for it.
The number of people who claim they never use any of the bbc's services on tv, radio or online is very, very small. The number who genuinely don't use any of those services would need the Hubble Space telescope to be counted. The licence fee is already an effective, and stupidly cheap way of funding the BBC. I don't tell them I got a box lol I just say I don't watch live tv . I never had a license in 18 years and never been fined but I don't give my name aswell. Same with water rates can't remember last time I paid that and never been disconnected
I know a bloke (in his 60s) who's never had a National Insurance number and never paid a penny of tax. He's worked all his life cash-in-hand, first as a car mechanic and later tiling bathrooms and kitchens. I think he would be looking at a prison sentence if they ever catch up with him.
So now we're paying for your water as well? What a piece of work you are. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
It's really quite sad that you can't accept that some people choose to live their life differently to you.
I'm sure if I had Sky I'd watch that, and a subscription to the Times I'd read that, but I don't so I don't. Let people opt in and we can see how much people really value it.
You don't pay anymore because I refuse to pay m8 its your choice to pay or not that doesn't make me a peice of work
??? Sorry, don't get it. Explain please. Just pointing out the number of people who use absolutely no BBC services is incredibly small. Nothing to do with how people live their lives. Did you reply to wrong post? Cheers. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
