So are the powers that be going to strip, the Premier League title from them in found guilty? I suspect not. The FFP rules are about as much use as a chocolate fire guard.
I thought FFP goes out the window when you get promoted. Which is why Bournemouth were never punished. Nor will Brighton when they go up. Sent from space using satellites and things
Unless an example is made of a club then no-one is going to take FFP seriously, if you fine a club a quarter of a million quid for overspending by tens of millions it's going to be taken as seriously as one of those unenforceable parking fines you get at Asda.
I think Bournemouth were fined £7.9 million for the year they went up. Leicester and QPR have challenged the "legality" of the rules, apparently.
Agreed. That or refusal of admission back to the FL upon relegation from the PL....which the FL wanted to do until the PL blackmailed them with the withdrawal of "solidarity" payments.
A pointless gesture to try and give the illusion that the powers in football actually have any appetite to enforce rules.
I d be very surprised if they were found guilty. They seam to have been fairly. Sherwd the may they have done. It
I remember having a discussion on here with a Leicester fan when I said that their creative accountancy trying to mask losses would get rumbled. He wouldn't have owt though.
