Saw an interesting stat on Twitter suggesting that since Liam Lindsay signed he's played in every game when we've kept a clean sheet. That's 26 clean sheets (last season and this) and he's played in every one. 7 clean sheets in 46 games last season and 19 from 38 this. This season we've kept a clean sheet every other game - some record!

This season's stat is very impressive. Last season's not so much.

It's a bit like the Brad Potts stat I used to wind people up with. He will have played in nearly every game so hard to get a clean sheet without him playing if he always does.

Looks very much as though he's now got to the pace of the game this season.
Not seen too much of Scottish Championship football, but I guess that the overall
change in surroundings and the speed at which our Championship football was being
played , took him and Stevie Mallan somewhat by surprise last term. Looks very much as though
he's now "at ease " with his game and must surely benefit from the fact that Ethan Pinnock is playing
so consistently well besides him. Could be argued, that we've probably got the best defensive pairing
    in League One.?

And both him and pinnock will be sold in summer so we will have to start again which is the real shame....

I truly hope that's not the case BT. I think the only way our owners can fulfil the statement
made when they took over re- " prepared to fund a tilt at the Premiership without doing anything crazy,"
for me, it's imperative that they hang on to our best players and Lindsay and Pinnock certainly fall
    into that category.

Listening to Paul Conway interview with tykes tv last week. They said the club will try to keep their better players but if a player wants to leave then they will be allowed to leave (if we get a fee we want) I imagine in the summer they will both be offered new deals as the will be on their final year but would be surprised if clubs higher up the pyramid didn't take interest.

It was Scottish premiership wasn’t it? Wasn’t he the only none Celtic or Aberdeen player in the premiership team of the year? I might’ve got that wrong though.

I would say we have the best defensive pairing in the division and would hope that they can make the step up and perform to a higher level than last time. I assume they will both be on the radars of championship sides. Hopefully we can resist.

You're right RC. He was loaned out to Airdrie and Alloa who played in a lower league, but
he did play for Partick Thistle in the Scottish Premiership. Whatever standard he played at
previously, I bet the EFL Championship was a bit of a culture shock. Bahre has confirmed
that when he first joined us, he was surprised at the pace of the English game, saying it's
much quicker than the game in Germany and he's had a big problem making the adjustment.
Having said that, he says he's desperate to still be with the Reds next season and he really
    likes playing for Daniel Stendel.

Unless we offer them 15-20k a week they won't sign because that's the going rate for a Championship player . We ain't gonna do that .

I’m not sure the figures are that high. I would have thought 8-10k. But, I’m probably out of touch.

Don’t forget that many of these players were signed when we were in the Championship. So, technically, they were on Championship wages at the time. Some of them would have taken a hit when we were relegated.

I would guess that when we bought Lindsey and Pinnock from their relevant clubs they'd have been on circa 1k tops . I could be wrong, but if we trebled their wages to 3 grand a week I don't think I'm far away .
