How much did we pay for Davies? Nothing and he has been a key player in 2 promotions and a jpt win one of the best free signings we have ever had we have lost nothing on him.

Yeah we wouldn't get much more with a year left we only bought him for 350k. Hope we have a sell on though.

I’m the same as other posters, if it meant keeping Pinnock I’d cash too.

I’m not convinced having two left footed Centre backs would work as well in the championship as it did last year, so tie Pinnock down and get a right footer to partner him would be ideal for me personally.

I wouldn’t have got rid of Jackson but I trust the club have all this under control, they have had more success than failures under their leadership so far so I wouldn’t worry.

Think that’s a fair deal hopefully with a bonus if they go up. Good to get the deal done early so we can reinvest.

No matter how reprehensible the Hume incident, it doesn't negate what an excellent defender Chris Morgan was. John Terry is one of the most loathsome human beings on the planet. It doesn't mean he's not a world class footballer.

2 Totally different types of centre halves. Futcher the best footballing CH I’ve ever seen at Oakwell ( Mawson, probably closest but no cigar) Morgan proper MY BALL winner. (Barring the Hume incident) Both better than Lindsay.

Agree with much of that but I still think it is totally fair to judge him based on 2017/18. Regardless of whether or not it fits with the narrative.

Pop a million pound bid in for Jason Kerr and it looks like it could be a deal similar to Woodrow/Bradshaw - we end up better off.

I wasn't even thinking of the Hume incident. We'll have to disagree. My view is that Morgan was a cumbersome, visionless excuse for a centre half who was liked by many because he was 'hard'. There you go. As for John Terry he WAS a good centre half in my view so looks like we agree on that one.

Yeah i think we will end up back in for Kerr. We were linked to a Austrian center half too a few week back.

Surprised there's been no mention of Carl Tiler.

Fair enough. My mate, who if he's reading this will recognise himself (and @Gally will DEFINITELY know who I'm on about!) used to think that Bruce Dyer was rubbish, but loved Sheron. It's fair to say I disagreed!

I actually meant to include him on the list. Should have done more with his career to be honest. Seemed to stop progressing once he left us, though I think he picked up a nasty injury when either at Forest or Villa.

If I had to pick a pairing of center halfs to play in the championship next season and I had 3 players to pick from Lindsay, pinnock and Marc Roberts, roberts would be left out.

Roberts was ok but he couldn't have played out of defence .
He was a good stopper though

    Agree about owd Thunderbooits Morgan.
This is no reflection on you Kami - but here we go again - one of our better current footballers Lindsay leaves us - and straight away some on here start to proclaim he wasn’t any good anyway.
It’s childish and it’s sickening to witness.

Pi.ssed off BIG TIME to see, it seems, that a winning team is beginning to be dismantled.
    AGAIN !!!
But we’ll have to wait and see.

I would thank Liam for his efforts, but if he doesn’t want to stay and refusing to talk, then happy to sell provided we get the right fee. Sounds like the fee is reasonable and should mean we can pick up a decent replacement.

If they want to go, ballax to em I say. Bring in the next hero!

Unfollowed him on Twitter already. That will learn him ha ha.
