    Lead chanter Chester Bennington had died age 41. RIP.
    Found hanged apparently. Left six kids. What a shame.

    RIP Chester. Very sad news, a band I really enjoyed listening to over the years without classing myself as a fan a such.

    very sad, depression is an illness that takes some of the most creative people

    they were not a band I was ever passionate about, (I liked a lot of the first wave punk / hardcore bands, so weren't that interesting to me, as I'd moved on to other things by then

    I've played their tunes at a lot of 40th birthday parties & weddings & they obviously mean a lot some some people (songs like One Step Closer, Papercut, Numb/Encore (with Jay-Z)...

    Their first 2 albums were one of the reasons that got me into the rock/metal music I listen to now.

    I'm still shocked about it even with his circumstances.

    Good singer chester was. Terrible news. Hung himself on chris connells birthday apparently. Best mates i think and connell commit suicide in may i believe. RIP Chester

    Was shocked by this, probably the first musician to have left us in a while that struck a chord, can't say I was a huge fan of Linkin Park but did enjoy their Hybrid Theory album from years ago.
