Little update

Not having issues like ours at wolves mind with their billionaire owner, premier league bound. If we stay up it'll be far more luck than judgement for me. Praying Harsley picks a winning team, hell, a team that can bloody score would be nice. I just don't get it, the new owners have been deafening in their silence after whats just happened apart from being shocked and upset at heckingbottoms departure to the leeds scum and then the snippet above that its looking like another lower league manager is in the frame or a unknown foreign manager, wtf? Im totally baffled tbh, totally baffled.

 

lots of folks go sprinting to conclusions.....

we play roughly a game each week yet folks still want instant results on everything..... things haven’t settled since the takeover with the transfer window and then straight away the defection..... let the dust settle and then take a look around and see what is what..... the amount of stress and imagined drama on this board is mind boggling ....... folks need to sit back and breathe for a while.....

Seems are expected not sure there is anything to be negative about. Mick was always way off given his previous public pronouncements.

 

I think that the situation at Wolves is a million miles away from that at Oakwell. The Wolves owner came in and immediately set his stall out that this was how he was going to play it. We’re owned by a collection of individual/corporate investors. You can’t simply add up their collective wealth and say that’s how much the club is worth or that’s how much the club has to spend. It doesn’t work like that.

Whilst not being amazing, the response to your post is however woefully negative.

No need to rush anyone in - though it would be nice to think someone already had a ready list of "fit our bill" candidates, given previous "scares".

I know it doesnt, it was a flippant remark meant to offer another possibility that was all, given their wealth. But surely anyone can see that relegation would be far from successful if thats what this consortium are ultimately striving for at barnsley. Going off that snippet it just doesnt feel like they are bothered if we stop up or not and are willing to spunk 6 million away that relegation will cost. There just seems no drive so far to at least give our survival the best shot they can to me.

Totally different situation at Wolves, who incidentally set on a foreign coach , they did not take over a club in the middle of a season under a stressful situation but had all summer to prepare for this campaign & also for the record, they were below us in the league last year , so things can turn around as it has done for them & regarding the new owners being silent , they employ a chief executive who issued a rather damming statement on behalf of the club , did you not read it ? or do you think they should all individually make a statement instead of a unified one from the club ? We are own worst enemies as fans , we should be getting behind them instead of trying to find fault with everything

It’s as expected, and to me this is fine.

PS. I’d also suggest some higher calibre than normal applications will be received, but this is where we need to tread carefully - some of these will be due to perceived additional money we may have, thinking they may be able to get one last pay-day.
