What are people’s thoughts on this ? https://www.portsmouth.co.uk/sport/...its-back-at-barnsley-injury-critics-1-8792826 Sounds like sour grapes to me, or basically admitting he’s not good enough to play for a team like Barnsley. truth is, he’s not been good enough since his return and 3 different managers have thought the same. Guys living off a 3 month loan spell playing well in league one for Barnsley, and that’s the only reason why we bothered, good riddance to bad rubbish, the bitter little ****.
Not sure what you’re taking offence with here? Hasn’t said anything negative about the club or the Head Coach.
Absolutely nothing bitter in that article at all. Just stating he's been fit and not selected, rather than being injured. What a strange post.
Harsh I think . Against Portsmouth looked decent to me better than Moncur better tha Hedges but clearly a fitness issue or managers would be daft not to play him . Wouldn’t surprise me if he did well whereas George would surprise me if he did . Opinions eh
Where's the sour grapes? He's had a go at nobody. He's just made a point that he was out of favour and been fully fit most of the season. I don't see a thing wrong with what he said.
The day he leave Barnsley, he happens to delete his twitter account, why has he not come out and said he’s fit before. Guys been a sham signing signed off scoring the third goal in a play off final we’d already won.
Can’t see the bitterness myself in that interview or sour grapes but I might be missing something. It seems to me he’s simply saying he’s been out of the team because he’s not been figuring in the plan not because of injury. I remember a manager some years ago saying a player didn’t figure in his plans and letting him go. David Speedie never looked back after that, just one that springs to mind.
Not been fancied by 3 managers ( The fact that he doesn’t think he’s been injury prone but made under 20 appearances in 18 months
So he's bitter because he deleted his Twitter account? Why does he have to come out and say he's fit? Clearly his permanent signing hasn't worked out, but you seem to have a personal issue with him. The Final wasn't won before he scored, it was 2-1 with plenty of time to go. He did well that season which is why a lot of our fanbase clamoured for his return. You're making yourself look silly.
How is that bitterness? It’s just a fact in his eyes. He’s trying to show his new club’s supporters that he’s fit and ready to play and not ‘made of glass’ like a lot of us might think.
Get what you’re all saying, but the guy has pulled up no strings whatsoever since signing in the summer of 2017.it could’ve worked out better for him, and even Lloyd would agree, but why wait until he’s left to say he’s been fit all season?
If he speaks like that when he’s still a Barnsley player he sounds bitter and complaining doesn’t he? You might have had a point if he had.
He's been getting a lot of stick on social media for always being injured and is simply putting the record straight. The lad does right.
He’s waited until he’s left the club to say what he’s said. That makes him more bitter. If he showed that attitude whilst he was here, he’d have got more respect.
Have you thought he might just be putting the record straight for his new club’s supporters? No doubt some of them have been looking at this site and seen the comments about his fitness which may have been repeated on their website.
