Same goes for me. Can't promise to be much help but I can listen. Woke up at 4 30 this morning with stuff running through my head. Going to take the dog for a long walk later which he'll be happy about!
I am not a professional. If you need professional help, please go get it. However, if you're looking for some ways to help ease anxiety then the following may help. I'd write more but it might not be welcome and Im supposed to be working (lucky as I am) 1 Write stuff down that's on your mind (to your phone or a notebook) before you go to bed, or if you wake up in the middle of the night. It sounds simple but it can be deceptively effective in decluttering your brain so stuff doesn't run around your head and keep you awake. Remember, there are things you can't control (ie. lockdown/the views of people about lockdown) and things you can control (ie how you choose to react to events, what people say, and what you do with your time). 2 Think about the differences between the two and don't waste time and emotional energy on those things you can't do anything about. Limit your time on here if discussing things triggers you into anxiety, stress or anger. Dont read the news every 10 minutes, set aside 15 mins twice a day to ready up on what's happening. You checking it every 5 mins will not make any difference to what happens, see above!
Me too - always here if anyone wants to drop me a PM. Suffered mental health issues for 30 years - developed a few coping strategies along the way!
Great posts above and appreciated by many I'm sure. Having trouble sleeping myself but luckily that's due to my lovely missis and her very loud snoring
You may not want to - and the weather is often crap at this time of year - but if you are able try to get out of the house for your daily exercise. Even 30 minutes of fresh air will blow away the cobwebs and can help when you feel that things are closing in. Look after your friends and family, and try to make a little time each day for the things you enjoy or find relaxing.
Among all the great results on the field I hope everyone is ok off the field. Remember you're never alone
