I agree that Nudger is intentionally trying to push buttons at times and the repetitiveness of his threads tends to be the problem for many, not necessarily what he says. His latest thread raises a valid question but at the same time is a bit premature. We know we won't go into the season with a threadbare squad - if it gets to August 1st and we're still light on players, then fair dos.

As for what Conan said, there are people on here that will shoot others down but offer no opinion themselves or bump threads to intentionally point score.

If there are personality clashes on here then people need to respect that difference and give the other a wide berth. Simple as that. Sometimes it borders on obsessive.

I don't think he stops debating because his points are challenged. I think he stops debating because he is constantly ridiculed and insulted for his views. You yourself have called his views daft and extreme. I don't think they are at all. Theyre just views. This particular thread basically started as the OP suggesting the squad needs strengthening. Nothing extreme about that at all. The trouble is on here as Conan has I think implied that some people are not prepared to debate politely. There is an undercurrent of Nudger baiting which is juvenile and embarrassing. People perceive Nudger as a whipping boy so he gets stick regardless of what he says. Thats my opinion of course.

 

I suspect the younger players are better than perhaps we think they are. Obviously a step up in playing standard is coming, but I didn't expect a season like we've just seen from Brown for example and I think a few may surprise us. Bahre is young, so is Linsday, McGeehan and Mowatt. I suspect we'll see signings in due course.

Bolton had plenty of expensive and "aged" experience last season, Sunderland the year before. Look what happened to them.

It’s because some people on here are INCAPABLE OF DEBATE.

I consider myself, and I suppose others do as well, as a master debater.
But I have sometimes to do other things like go to the lav.

Please see his claim to be a master debater.
He consistently ignores facts to make his claims then compares others to sheep or idiots for challenging him. Again see the recent thread querying the manager's input in the recruitment process. As was pointed out this has been discussed and put to bed numerous times.
He gets so much flak because he posts twaddle and then belittles those who disagree.

 

Fair do's for your view. I'll stick to my opinion for the moment until I personally notice anything that smacks of rudeness/insulting posting by said person. As for the 'master debater' comment I'll also reserve judgement on that and assume that it was a tongue in cheek moment!! Regards.

 

I’m quite new on here compared with a lot and have noticed IMO Nudger sometimes seems to post things to get a reaction.
This can be good and bad depending on your viewpoint, but without people posting opinions the board would be pretty boring at times.
I also took the master debater comment as humour.

Regarding the ‘sheep and bandwagon’ comments - if you can’t see those trends then yer not really looking at this message board.
Example of this - watch the avalanche of negativity from a line of posters - and then suddenly someone agrees (especially if it’s someone like Gally) with the initial post - and suddenly the tone of the thread changes.

Your ‘Big head’ comment - I can be self deprecating but I’m confident enough in myself not to bat an eye about it.
So if you are questioning the ‘master debater’ comment - then I would question whether this message board is for you.

He doesn't answer direct questions. He'll start a new thread in about 2 days posting the same old drivel to get a reaction and when sensibly questioned like in your post, he ignores it and the process starts again. Hemsworthesque.

I’m not going to bother because you’re not worth it, but I could easily find 10 posts where you have been presented with hard evidence, yet you just completely ignore the thread from then on, posting another a couple of days later with the same content worded slightly differently.
