I'd love to see Luke back with us--what are the chances I wonder?

Its hard to believe Luke left just 4 years ago. The complete change in personnel in the club both on and off the pitch, aside from the fans and buildings, there is very little left.

As for from the club perspective... i'm totally in the dark what they are going to do in terms of recruitment and what sort of team and manager is going to be in place come August. From the few decisions they've made that have been visible, I'd be extremely surprised to see Luke ever wear the red of Barnsley again. If you can release Adam Hammill without a manager in place, I cant see them going nostalgic for the fans to get another favourite back.

If he'd accept around a grand a week he would be a good back up keeper to have around for his experience, but age wise we know we aren't going to be interested in him.

He was too old for us to offer him a deal years back so surely he’s totally off our radar these days.

Yeah, but didn't we then sign Mike Pollitt to replace him?

Nothing would surprise me at this point.

He'd be a good signing on the right money. Him and Walton and sell Davies. I think Davies needs a move. Been a good keeper, however his confidence is shot and his kicking is weak too.

If we are keeping Jack Walton, he needs to be number one. It's so rare for us to create our own keeper, and so if we rate him we should give him a chance to be our first since Dave Watson. Having him rot on the bench like Nick Townsend did, will do nothing for his development, whilst giving regular first team football to a guy much later on in his career.

I don’t expect us to sign a keeper. Think we’ll go with Walton & Davies.

Davies will be in decent wages & I can’t see no one taking him from us.

I remember Luke Steele getting dogs abuse when he was here, if I remember right he got stick for his kicking and never coming off his line, sounds like Davies

That's absolutely fine. Lack of proper competition for Davies was what got us into this mess in the first place.
