Anyone else hear The Don interview? We are going to wait until he starts the season well and attracts attention from bigger clubs with better financial packages, he will then be able to join them on a free in the summer, or a small fee in January if they need him desperately. Its good to be back.
I was rather annoyed when Don said in the Chronicle last friday that talks wouldn't start until a few months into the new season. Has The Don not learned from Buttercup? Did he not learn from Vaz? It would appear we could end up being shafted again. His new contract should be as important this summer as bringing in new faces. How bad Button was should have moved on contract talks.
the don does not think or learn. thought you lot had realised by now. laughable individual running the show at jokewell
They're going to wait until a few months into the season before they sit down and look into it, we are know what will happen, Vaz Te/Howard etc etc. Maybe we are waiting to see if he's championship quality? No matter what happens, when he's sold for a lot less than his value next January the club will come out with the phrase "we offered him an excellent contract"....at christmas, along with four other clubs who we can't compete with. As much criticism as The Don takes, its Cryne pulling the strings. When's this court case back on?
Is it this ? (frump chron) Steele deal not on the agenda. Contract talks with Luke Steele won't be held over the summer, the Chronicle can reveal. The player of the year's contract expires at the end of next season and the reds will risk losing him on a free transfer if a new deal isn't agreed. But any talks with the goalkeeper won't be held until next season is well underway, General Manager Don Rowing told the Chronicle. He said:" As we get into next season and to October or November time, Keith Hill will take stock of what he has and what contracts are up for renewal and I'm sure that for those players he wants to keep he'll be talking to them at that time." Are we still not sure that Steele is a decent keeper ? The best player at the club going into his final season of contract and no indication from us that we want him to stay and in doing so are shagging royally any hope of a decent transfer fee. 'Safe pair of hands' - well of Steele and Rowing I know which one should **** off.
Re: Is it this ? (frump chron) Why bother ? We seem determined to not make the most of our 'saleable assets'. Let's just chalk **** on it - obviously 4th division attitude eminating from the directors if that's a sample.
It really is difficult To remain optimistic about the club when it spouts forth utter, utter drivel like this.
Re: It really is difficult I was just going to post the same. Its this sort of thing that is really hacking people off and creating the climate of negativity amongst the fans. The best keeper outside of the premier league, player of the year, one year left on his contract and we're in no rush to get him committed to the club. Utter madness.
Re: It really is difficult Agreed. What is the long term intention ? If the owner(s) want rid or just can't cope with it any more then come out, say so and build some ******* houses on Oakwell so we can all get on with things.
Re: It really is difficult "Keith Hill will take stock of what he has and what contracts are up for renewal and I'm sure that for those players he wants to keep he'll be talking to them at that time." How anyone can have faith in Keef's judgement is beyond me.
Re: Is it this ? (frump chron) Looking forward to this session with The Don. Hope Patrick and Barry show their faces as well.
Re: Is it this ? (frump chron) Can't see PC being there, and Barry probably ahs important FA business to attend to. Shambles.
