Doesn’t mean it won’t work out for them still. Not much difference to when LJ moved from us to Bristol.
Wont make a difference. Still the same players who know the Luton way to play. Whoever comes in wont have to do much to keep them challenging for automatic promotion. Bet 365 will probably have a lot of Luton fans closing their accounts.
Dont you mean it might not make a difference. If I was a Luton fan I would be decidedly worried, it may be that the replacement carries on where Jones left off - a bit like Hecky did for us, but its far more likely that the effect will be negative especially if the board appoint the wrong man -eg Man Utd managed that a couple of times recently and I dont think there are many that would say Morais was an improvement for us. They could do worse than ask Rowett to do a swap,
Some fans seem to think that players, managers, etc are in permanent bondage to their club and that the club calls the shots. Those days are long gone.
Thay need to chaynge tha clab's nayme to tha 'Bedfawdsha Clangahs.' If they dawn't then the bawrd are faaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaacking mags who dawn't knaw haw to faaaaaaaaaaacking fink for vemselves. Proym tha pamp, you slaaaaaaaaaaaaaags.
I disagree look at when we got promoted Walsall were in a similar position to Luton if not bettet, Brentford came In took dean Smith and Walsall then went on a losing streak they still made the play offs but weren't the same team after he left. Look at what Nathan Jones has achieved at Luton he has done brilliant with limited players. It's a good appointment for stoke one of the best young managers in the country but a diffrent challenge for him. I could see heckingbottom wanting the Luton job.
I think that in the moment, when the ball hits the back of the net, then kissing the badge is an understandable emotional response and one that's largely appreciated in the stands. But you'd have to be a bit daft to expect it to mean anything beyond that moment in time. And as soon as money's involved it means nothing at all. Which is just as it should be. It's just a job, after all.
Most of the time teams who are doing well that lose their manager end up performing worse. Fingers crossed it’s the same for Luton. Could do with him taking a couple of players with him but not sure there’s any who are promotion from the championship standard
And let Donny get enthralled in their best FA cup run since 1956 if they make the 5th rd - seriously they're that **** and it could be a three horse race.
Maybe Hecky will throw his hat in the ring? I can’t see him getting a job at a higher lever at the minute.
