It's a screenshot, because I'm no longer on Twitter since a Millwall fan threatened to find me and pull my eyes out.
There is talk that after all the tests have been concluded, there will be more members of the squad leaving before the season starts. I'm sure I've seen the figure of seven mentioned, but I can't remember where I saw that. I'll have a look round and see if I can find the piece in question and get back.
I had high hopes for this lad, but sadly it has not worked out for him. Saw glimpses of a good footballer in the games he played, however I will not be too sad to see him go.
Done well so far. Bought and sold Knasmulner for a profit with the Mcdonald cash that should still be there to use, got shut of Pearson and now Malan is off and still no sign of a new signing.
To be sure no one can have a clue if he was any good or not based on his time on the pitch. But seems 3 coaches not that bothered so....?
Cheers pal, I’d seen it from someone they were nearly over the line with it but not seen any confirmation. As for the Millwall fan doubt he’d be able to find his way out of Bermondsey never mind to your house, proper bunch of morons.
Bit sad, as young Stevies not really had chance to prove himself, because there's no doubt, there was a player in there. Sounds as though he'll be relieved at the prospects of going home because it appears as though he was unsettled from the off and not getting first team game time won't have helped in that department. So Pearson, Knassmulner and as speculated probably Mallan. Wonder who might be next.? And more importantly have we got any players lined up to replace them.? Interesting times as ever, down Oakwell way. COYR.
Shame but unsurprising. Just highlights how dreadful our recruitment was last summer and how much imbalance was in the squad. But Mallan was in the same boat as others, nowhere near enough game time to assess and develop properly. Best of luck to him at Hibs and hope we've not set him back too much
I think he'll do OK, but I see more potential in Malllan to develop into a player who could play above that level. I just don't see that in Potts. McGheehan is the one I'm intrigued about most though. Reckon he might be a totally different player this year bow he's fully recovered and has a full pre season.
Yes - I was expecting another retain list after Stendel had gauged the players. With what we are being told this head coach is very keen on fitness - so no matter how much skill they have, if they can’t get up and down the pitch for 90 minutes they will be out of the club. I’m expecting a few more to leave. Let’s hope some of the duffers on here don’t start saying it’s because the owners need the money. IMO players brought in will be those that can do a job in the 1st Division but also as a basis for if we get promoted to the Championship.
Looked incredible based on highlight reel when we signed him and I was hoping for big things from him but I am not overly upset he's leaving if reports are true. We have a lot of attacking midfield players and we need to look to balance the squad. Agree he doesn't seem to have been given much of a chance but clearly none of the 3 managers we have had during his time here have seen enough from him in training to consider playing him every week so maybe he is simply not good enough. I can't say for sure if that's the case but clearly there is something not right there as if he was as amazing as he looks on his YouTube compilations then he'd start week in week out.
To be honest I thought that the Championship was a big learning curve for Potts ,which overall despite still being green, he more or less came to terms with & he is one I am hopeful of being very influential in division one , regarding McGheehan , one hopes he has overcome his injury woes & fulfills the hype he received before he broke his leg , only time will tell
