Sounds like the Scottish version of Wednesday/Leeds. If he's good now, imagine what a year under Hecky's guidance will produce!
I really hope so. I've every faith in him being as successful as the other lads we've brought through. Not getting giddy about anything on youtube though. Goran lovre looked a word beater on there! Sent from my SM-G850F using Tapatalk
The "too good for a team like barnsley" comment was in response to us claiming they play conference level football in the scottish championship. They're getting all defensive I suppose, but reality is they avoided relegation to the 3rd tier by goal difference. At best they are low league 2 level and thats generous, it may be harsh for them to hear, but watch their Mallan video, yes he can hit a good shot on target but the defenders around him are woeful, he wont play against teams like that in the Championship. Lets not get too carried away just yet, an up to pace and on form Bradshaw and Moncur should be more productive.

The fact is we will never know. Enough players have failed to adapt when switching in both directions that it's not clear which leagues are truly better. And if Barnsley are only able to attain their level by racking up huge debt and becoming totally reliant on the teat of TV money rather than bringing their own talent through then that is their problem not ours. The fact of the matter is, we are a sustainable club operating within our means and we have become f**king awesome at bringing through our own players. Long may that continue. I would rather have that than watch a broken and corrupt football league system any day." Hmm, they know nothing about the millions our academy has produced over the years.
Someone's not done their research. Millions of Debts? Us? They're sustainable and we're not? Most reasonable Scottish football fans will accept that Scottish leagues are about 2 leagues' lower quality than the English equivalent and I think that's about fair. That means that we're signing a player used to playing at about League Two standard which is just the standard we have signed many of our best players from
It is pretty disrespectful to say that about any team the big time Charlies on here need to have a word with themselves.
That's an absolute belting comment from their lot. Just about as far from the truth as you can get really. Sent from my SM-G850F using Tapatalk
You've got them riled up, Conan - http://www.blackandwhitearmy.com/fo...tephen-mallan/&do=findComment&comment=1452571 For what it's worth I agree that they're no better than Conference standard. I've got a mate who's a Greenock fan so I've seen a few of their games on BBC Alba this year, Lincoln would wipe the floor with most of what I've seen.
That video is similar to the Conor hourihane when we signed him. Doesn't really matter what standard he's playing in it's the same ball, same distance and same top corner. Defenders will be better in our championship but he will still get time to pass and shoot As for the comparison between our leagues and theirs. kane Hemmings couldnt get in our team in league 1 and got released yet finish 2nd top scorer in the Scottish premier the season after Laughable comment about us spending money we ain't got lol. If we had we may have been in play offs this weekend instead of selling our best players in Jan
he can definitely hit a dead ball, which is a start fingers crossed we can get an offer to the right people...
I sincerely hope we didnt send it to the wrong email address...jeez. You can just imagine Hecky pacing up and down his Californian Hotel "bleedin hell, I gave em one job to do, I even wrote b@$tard email address down myself...even left instructions for em how to turn laptop on... and they still managed to make a horlicks of it.... where Delia's bleedin phone number'. BFC, proof that sometimes truth is stranger than fiction. You couldnt write it.
Thing is though - the poster who has mentioned me actually summed it up best in a previous post. I do see SPL games involving Hamilton (Inverness, Partick, ICT, Ross County) played in front of less than 4,000 and think that if this the top tier then what are the lower Scottish leagues like. I am judging it on the fact that many of the clubs in Scotland are League 2/Conference size or less when you get into the bottom two divisions. So there is no brass. There were 2,900 supporters at the Championship play off game at Raith Rovers on Satdi. There were 8,000 at Halifax for the Conference North play off. Any half decent player in Scotland is going to come to England as soon as they can so it stands to reason that the quality will fall when the better players leave.
He looks a half decent prospect playing in a really poor standard of football. Remember Jim O'Brien came down he was being heralded as the next best thing and barely pulled up any trees. Sent from my iPhone using Barnsley FC BBS Fans Forum
Someones finally let them know that we produced the worlds 2nd most expensive defender. http://www.blackandwhitearmy.com/forums/index.php?/topic/39171-stephen-mallan/&page=18
