    2 hr barrier broken by the Kenyan - Eliud Kipchoge (1hr 59 mins 40 secs for the 26.2 mile course.)

    Works out at a pace of less than 4.5 minutes a mile!

    Phenomenal effort.

    My PB is 2 hrs 51 mins, which I did at the Yorkshire marathon in 2017. I felt dead afterwards. I can hardly imagine his levels of fitness - not human!!

    Brilliant stamina but all seems artificial with pacesetters joining at different stages of the run and no slowing down for drinks stations I.e. Having drinks delivered on bikes on the fly. Could have done it on a treadmill. Having said that he'll probably break the 2 hour time in a race at some stage

    That’s nothing. I also managed to finish the race in under 2 hours. 400 meters like. But still some achievement ;)
