Brilliant to see him back and got a great ovation as he should do for being part of 2 very good seasons.

Looked a shadow of his former self though today. Gave ball away more than successfully. Constantly looked for a direct long ball most of time and just looked like a kid playing in a team not a lad playing FOR the team. Not that it bothers me as he's now part of the history and we probably won't see him in a reds shirt again but Was a shame to see him perform so badly like his fellow companions.

Despite our clean sheet today, I'd drive him back to Oakwell on January 1st if there was any chance at all if him returning. We're starting to look like a decent outfit already. Imagine how good we'd be if we still had Robbo, Conor and Winnall as the spine of the team, surrounded by the new squad. Top 6 surely?

Body language said it all, poor lad having to play in that toxic atmosphere. His girlfriend and mum getting abuse on Twitter. Token couple of claps at the end. Sad advert for the way football finances work.

If Lindsay is the direct replacement I would say we've done decent business based upon today.

Very good player. Rarely looses a challenge and never looks stretched.

Cracking signing, I just hope he's still here after January.

We have moved on, I would only take him back if it were on free. Lindsay looks a lot better prospect to me and we got a great fee for Roberts.

Reading Twitter and some of the fans don't rate him - looked half the player he did with us. Think Lindsay has the potential to be the better player - having said that they would have been a decent partnership

Phenomenal talent. Great in the air, strong in the challenge and good on the ball. Very promising indeed!

He made his choice- money- and while I don’t hold it against him he’s made his bed.

Anyone could see Lindsay was a class act from his first league game for us.

Roberts? He was far from his best today but still better than most of his team mates, just one of many that look low on confidence, I can’t remember seeing a team put as many balls out of play

This forum was up in arms when the club sold him for [insert fee] in the summer and replaced him with Lindsay.

Was obvious after Lindsay's first game that we'd done one hell of a deal.

    Next.

Not for me. Great player for us, but limited. We've sold a lad we got for nowt, for millions and replaced him no bother. Great business.

Seriously? He was great in League 1, and he was great in this league. Statistically he was the best centre half in the division I believe. Anyone who wouldn't want him in our squad is barking.

Wasn't the stat just he had won the most headers or something? That hardly makes him the best centre back in the league. I've said it many times he was part of a very poor defence last season. He wasn't even our best defender last season (yiadom)
