I'd love to see this lad at Oakwell and he seems like the sort of player that would be suited to our quick-paced style. Left-sided, still only 23 and is the leading assist maker in English football this year. You'd expect there to be a good deal of interest in him though and Peterborough are notorious for getting inflated fees for their best players. It would be a sad case if a top League One player was to be out of our price range but that may be how it is.
No chance unfortunately, their Chairman will demand a figure way out of our price range. He's not daft. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
Dont know about off the pitch, but on it he has a reputation only trying when he can be arsed. He doesn't seem to fit in to Hecky's philosophy regarding work rate.
Went to Peterborough from Gateshead I think .He should be thanking his lucky stars but he's one of those superb lazy ***** .
The BBS has already decided despite us having no interest in him as far as we know that A. He's out of our price range B. He can't be arsed C. He's a lucky sod Lovely!
Fair enough. I know we do a lot of homework on players' character before we make a move for them and I'm sure Hecky won't have it if the work rate isn't there.
Where do you get your data from regarding assists? I am pretty sure that we will be using that sort of data to identify targets and scout them. if what you say is true, he would be a target for a number of clubs, probably including us, but it depends who else is in the market for him. Any more come up with that sort of data for assists?
Oh that's not the best bit. That young un they've got 16/17 years old. He wants £10 million for him. He will get it too.
Would you be, playing in front of Super Posh's gigantic crowds? Any player that can score a goal like that shouldn't be playing at third division level. He's been there long enough so he is probably more than ready for a move. I'm not saying he would be good for us, but might be worth a look if the price is right.
It was another website I saw it listed on and having looked on statbunker.com it seems that he is a couple behind Morais at Bradford, Carey at Plymouth and Coppinger at Donny for assists. I think the stat may have been 'involved' in the most goals, so having scored or assisted more than any other player. A lot of clubs definitely do look at statistics to do a lot of the leg work before they watch players in person.
