    Wonder if the have transfer listed him as he only has one year left on his peterbourgh deal and won't sign another? Out of our price range I'd of thought they only signed him from non league aswell

    Is this an example of their 'sign a contract extension or we secure a fee for you' policy? Regrettably perhaps we may have to do this more often to enable us to re-invest in the squad. That said, at our level losing a key player could be potentially disasterous so of course it's always a gamble.

    Re Maddison signing for us... no. Another player likely to head to Villa/Fulham/Sunderland/Wolves et al due to the finances required.

    I'd probley say it's right cash out at the right time if the player won't sign a deal. Wouldn't you? Or the other option is let their contract run down and sell in jan for less like we did with conor and bree or lose for nothing like we will with marley and josh.
