My MOTM last night thought he had a decent game. Much better at CB than Full back

Would have been much better if he didn't hit it long every time he got the ball. Unless that's what he was told to do but every time he did we lost possession cos it came straight back

He was solid at back , centre back suits more than a full back role .

The lack of communication between Pearson & Yiadom was scary. How many times did Yids get a hospital pass in that second half??

Wish we still had Robbo. He wouldve made a great captain this season. Led by example and of course those looong throws

Great that a lad playing his first championship match in that position did well. Gives us more options and flexibility if Matty Pearson can cover CB too.

Really frustrating result. There for the taking. But hopefully we can take the learnings from it. Inexperienced squads have positives and negatives. Game management is hopefully one of the things these young lads will develop in bucket loads over this season and next.

Very different and very tough game on Saturday. I hope Barnes and Williams come back in and add what seemed lacking. Plus an extra days rest/training over Leeds. They will be more dangerous in attack but hopefully more open at the back.

Id be amazed if Barnes Williams and Bradshaw dont all start on Saturday
I'd expect Moncur back as well unless Hecky decides to move Gardner up to replace McGeehan not sure that would be a great idea though

Defensively he did ok but I thought he panicked a bit, too many balls hit in to the stand which didn’t need to be but I guess that’s understandable when it’s his first game in that position in a long time

Agreed. Think Hecky will have learnt a few things from that match as well. Gardner will be very short of match fitness so would expect its Williams, Moncur and Potts.

I like Hedges and clearly has talent and potential, but he's a long way short of Barnes, Hammill and Isgrove for a starting spot just yet.

We'd be daft to ignore that Cardiffs 3 best strikers were out. If Hecky doesn't go for it in a game like that at home, then he will struggle every time we play that type of side. Like I said though, young players, young manager. We got done by Warnock and his merry men in horrible conditions. Let's hope we don't let that happen again.

Yids was as guilty as Pearson for hospital balls last night. Particularly the one that cannoned out for a throw in with about 20 minutes to go.

To be honest, he's build to be a centre half - he's not mobile enough nor does he have the positional sense to supercede that difficiency (like a Bobby Hassell) to play full back, so I can only see him playing that role going forward, especially at this level. If he played out wide for Accrington, you can (I'm assuming) get away with the odd mistake at that level, but if you get stripped by your opposition wingman at this level, chances are you'll be punished.
