I like him but if we’re making a profit on the £500K we supposedly paid for him, I’d say we’ve done pretty well.
I'm gobsmacked if we paid for £500k for him. If we are looking to move him on then we'd lucky to get anything near what we supposedly paid.
I think that is the perfect description..... Never going to be a championship defender so this is probably best time to sell to maximize any potential return
Happy with this. Looks like the team is selling off/getting rid of extraneous players so we can build a solid core team and open up some of the wage bill to bring in a new player or two.
The thing I like about him is he always gives 100% and is tough as old booits which is more than can be said for some and sometimes you need that in league one. Not the most gifted player but like I said he has his strengths.
He’s a solid defender anywhere across the back - at Wolves, he was outstanding! Not a pretty player but an effective one that gives 100%! I’d have had him at LB last season (actually, also at RB instead of the fancy dan who couldn’t defend or put a decent cross in.
I dont know whether thats a joke or not but it would have been even more embarrassing than it already was if pearson had played full back
Very likeable lad who certainly endeared himself to the fans due to his work ethic, physicality and no nonsense attitude. I wish him all the best but I can’t say that I would be disappointed to see him go as we need to be aiming higher than the likes of Pearson in terms of technical and tactical ability.
I thought he was a good stand in at CB, even at Championship level. Wish the lad all the best, we have some good CB's, so I guess he is also looking for regular game time & we do need to let a few go. If we have a decent sell on it will be good business I suppose, if we plan to keep our other CB's.
