Has been for months according to Hecky - just waiting for Swansea to finish their recruitment process
Bloody annoying that Llorente got injured. Hopefully they'll spend some of the Sigurdson money on Bony and a couple of other strikers. I know he's only had a few premier league appearances and 20 or 30 league games when he was younger, but he is so highly rated I'm looking forward to seeing what he can bring. With McBurnie, Thiam, Bradshaw and Ugbo that's 4 potentially exciting and different types of striker.
Was always under the impression this was the case, just hope Swansea can get themselves sorted out and let him join us already
I saw the other day on Sky Sports News that Llorente is back training and in contention for the weekend so could possibly happen next week all being well.
Brings a little bit more strength and height to the forward line. Which has clearly been missing while playing just one up front against Ipswich and Forest. Also gives options of a fast striker feeding off a taller striker which Bradshaw and Ugbo should benefit from. But we can't stop just with McBurnie - we need another tall strong striker in case McBurnie gets injured and as competition.
We need 28 strikers, 34 wingers and 19 goalkeepers In all seriousness, adding players to the squad even in areas where we don't necessarily need them right now won't be a bad thing because of no emergency loan window - there will be a time when they'll be needed be it due to injuries or poor form
What if mcburnie replaces ugbo who replaces hedges who gets injured. Do you think we need another couple of strikers in case mcburnie gets injured and Bradshaw is suspended and we can't call on Jacob brown or Payne?
Why not, Chelsea have probably got that many (most of them loaned out of course). Counting 25 of the 34 wingers as midfielders, that still leaves us woefully short at the back with 0 fullbacks and 0 centre backs.
