Since when did a thrashing constitute a 4-1 win ( i.e man u win last night). In the good old days a thrashing was a 5 or 6 nil win! Media madness going over the top again. Glad i've got that off my chest.

Ok so a thrashing say, is 5-0, a hammering is 6 and 7 is a huddersfield! Not sure where i'm going with this!

I know what you mean but you can completely dominate a game but the one sided nature of the game isn't reflected in a score line that suggests a 'thrashing'.

I read somewhere that aston villa 'thrashed' us last week. Well, that wasn't my view of the game nor many others that saw it. Just makes us look bad when the adjective 'thrashing' is used. Never mind. I'm off for me lunch now!

I wouldn't pay any attention to what the press write about us. They struggle to get basics such as our managers' name, our ground and even the correct name of the club right.

4-1 at home is a thrashing.

I would say a 4-1 scoreline is definitely the start of 'thrashing' territory.
