Acceptable now, or not? From a personal point of view there's no way I'd go out and use one, but if enough people think it's now acceptable, I might start :p

Never used one. I just let all my hair get wet.
Obviously when I say all, I mean both strands!

    Why would it be unacceptable?

I don't use one, but I don't spit on men who do.

That would be pointless as it would just hit the brolly.

Depends upon the style of the brolly. Nowt wrong with a plain black one or perhaps a golf umbrella if you must.

I use one. Have to be honest, it never even crossed my mind that it might not be 'acceptable'!

I'd love to hear from someone who finds it unacceptable. Anyone? Please? I'll even try to keep a straight face when reading.

Ok, maybe 'acceptable' may have been the wrong word, but if you hadn't noticed, it was meant to be a bit tongue-in-cheek. You just don't notice many blokes walking round with them. Never have. But you do see the odd ones. And all I think of is Steve McClaren.

Well no one wants to be reminded of Steve Mcclaren I guess. I stand corrected,

Maybe because Its usually mainly girls / ladies who use umbrellas and not really considered manly for a bloke to use one. Especially a small typical lady sized one.

Acceptable probably the wrong wording as I doubt anyone would bat an eye lid if the saw a bloke with a brolly but probably more of a macho thing. You don't see many blokes holding s brolly and I'm sure some would rather get wet then be seen doing so.

I've never used one in my entire life, if it's raining I just put some suitable clothing on. Or stop in.
