get him,,no matter what it takes,,, one of our own
I agree - but think that he will reject us....
My choice too. He's out of contract at Ipswich in June, and if he wants to manage his home-town club, as he's reputedly once said, now is the time.
I'd love it if it happens....
The timing will never be better so let's at least try to get him. He might say no but at least we know we tried. If we don't ask we'll never know.
Think Ipswich fans would be happy about it too. They’re ready for a change.
This would take all the pain and dishearten away in a heartbeat if it happens, and happens soon. He really is ‘one of our own’ not just a....well let’s not get into it. CNUT!
Would love Mick, but doesn't seem like a manager who would be happy to adhere to the "spreadsheet" or "plan". Also, hardly the ideal situation for him to come into a club who are currently in a relegation battle. When he could happily see his contract out and find another job in the summer. Just can't see it happening.
Bring home Big Mick campaign starts here 2nite....
If ever there was a case for stretching the budget ... this one doesn't affect the playing wages structure....
He's a very bluff and direct character, doesn't seem to be one who would adhere to spreadsheets or plans and would probably tell those who needed to be told to f... off.
Whether that would endear him to the likes of GG is hard to imagine and you wouldn't want clashes of personality to upset the running of your club.
I bet he wouldn't come to be "head coach" !!
That's my only concern.....
...and that ^
Bring him home...
**** the spreadsheet and silly job titles. Get Mick in and let him run the show.
lets do this
I always hoped that the planets would align one day and Mick would come home for at least a coupla years.
When asked by a journo decades ago if he would manage Barnsley, he replied, why would I do that? they lionise me in Barnsley.
We sure do, Mick. Please give it a go to finish off your career.
EDIT: like, I don't think that it finish off your career, Mick.
EDIT2: James Cryne, mate, respect to you. You are one of our own.... (if you feel it) maybe you could explain to your overseas co-directors just how much of a positive move it would be to get Mick at Oakwell.
Bring Mick home!
