Jailed for attacking a Nottingham Forest supporter on the opening day of last season. The Forest fan died 3 weeks after the attack following a fall at home. https://www.google.co.uk/amp/s/www..../millwall-thug-who-punched-rival-13430765.amp
A club statement said the victim had left the home area outside of the stadium before the attack. Neil Harris said "next question".
The bloke is an utter ****. I remember he gave an interview before the playoff final calling for their fans to make it a hostile atmosphere.
Just shows the dangers of even one punch. A square up and a punch probably happens in every town centre every weekend and any one of those times could see someone die. Who knows if this bloke or the forest fan were hooligans, drunk or just arguing, it matters not as the consequences remain the same. Forget the football and millwall context, violence can never end well and is never worth it. Horrible story. Having read more about it the millwall fan seems to have previous and the provocation negligible. What an idiot.
Says everything we already knew about those supporters. Even in tragedy they are trying to blame the deceased.
Any kind of provocation makes you fair game for a hiding in their eyes. I was posting on Facebook after the playoff final, and that was the general opinion amongst them, regardless of age or gender. I find it really disappointing that they are obviously so proud of their reputation and not keen to move away from it, because we used to play their lads at football and they were a good set and definitely wanted to put all that behind them.
One club I'd be quite happy to see fold to be honest... Other than thugs I'm not really sure what else they've contributed to football.
The sooner that club and everyone involved with it spontaneously combust the better. Obviously I'd spare little Tom for services rendered.
At the time of the playoff final I had a stent between kidney and bladder after kidney stone treatment and was always dashing to the bog. Immediately after the game I was at the underground station desperately looking for the toilet and asked a bloke who just happened to be a Milwall supporter where the bogs were. He showed me where they were, shook my hand and congratulated us for an excellent performance and well deserved win. They're not all bad.
I’m still waiting on the FA to punish them after the play off final against us. How can so many of their fans attack so many of ours in the national stadium live on Sky & them not even get a punishment?
Seems the FA would rather brush it under the carpet. A year later when they beat Bradford at Wembley they invaded the pitch after not sure if that was ever punished either.
