    The mobos are on tonight. It's an awards thing for just black people.

    It isn’t awards for just black people at all. Past winners include Jessie J and Sam Smith. Mick Hucknall won an outstanding achievement award.

    It’s just awards for music of black origin, which is quite a lot to be fair, jazz, hip hop, grime, soul, gospel, blues, r&b, reggae, garage, funk. Even rock and roll. More.

    Most stuff could be derived as ‘mobo’ I imagine, possibly except sickly pop and heavy rock, so a lot of music artists of any race can and do win.

    The name might be a bit misleading but there is no racial discrimination in the awards, it’s just about where the music had its origins.

    They had an awards show just for white people the other year; the Oscars...(!)
