Not taken him long.! Saying he's now at the best footballing Club in the Division and he's now playing in his rightful position. https://www.lutontoday.co.uk/sport/...best-footballing-team-in-league-one-1-8782056
I fully expect to see him giving the Ponty End the full treatment IF he ever comes back to play us again. Like he did to the Sunderland fans last season.
That interview reminded me of when I ask my 9 year old how his day at school went and he talks about the match with his mates at dinner time: " it was good because I really like Joe because he gives me the ball a lot..."
It's a stock answer for a new player though isn't it? He's hardly going to say that Barnsley play better football than Luton, even if this is clearly the case!
Correct, a players favourite club is the one the happen to be playing for at that particular moment in time, they like to get fans onside.
He's with his friends and getting a game but we 've shown that we're better than Luton over the 2 games we ve played against them.
He seems to recognise his 'rightful position' as sitting on the bench for eighty minutes and hoping to salvage something in the last ten. Nice work if you can get it.
Football wise What does that mean exactly? As opposed to what? Golf, tennis, knitting? Sadly for you George I think your ego will always get in the way of your talent - the two don’t match.
Footballer in ‘my new club is much better than my old one’ shocker... He’s hardly going to say that he’s come to Luton as he’s been found out as a one dimensional trick pony who has a decent twenty minute cameo once every half a dozen fixtures at Barnsley, so thought he might as well do that ‘darn sarth’ is he? Or ‘I’ve come to Luton to get a bit more game time as the side is doing really well and I rate my chances of getting into your team higher than at Barnsley as they are better’. He’s gone, not too interested in what he has to say.
Sounds like he's just arsed off becasue he couldn't get into the starting 11. Sorry but a good pro footballer should be able to adapt and play in a different position if needed. He just wasn't good enough "in terms of football"
' But I just wasn't enjoying it as much as I knew I would ' . Can someone please explain what the chuff that means ? Also he says he didn't want to play on the left at Barnsley but says he's happy to play anywhere in the diamond , even on the left .
I saw that and assumed he meant he hadn't enjoyed it as much as he thought he would. Disappointing etc. As for the left bit, yeah seemed a bit daft. Just came across to me as trying to kiss the fans' arses if im honest. He didn't need to say Luton are the best team in the league, I get why he said it, but he could've said something more accurate. Like "I've joined a team that probably wont be promoted and is in a right shithole but at least I can have my own little real life TOWIE now."
Best footballing side in the division yet he couldn't get in ours. OK George. Let's see if he looks any fitter in his 'rightful place'.
Moncur was never played in his best position whilst at BFC, which is just behind the centre forward. If Luton play him there he'll get a 'bag full' of goals. Just like he has at other clubs. I don't blame him for going. He will be playing from the start in the Championship next year instead of warming the bench with Barnsley.
