I can just imagine you in the LOTSW cafe with Compo and Clegg. Holding forth about the healing virtues of Sloan's Liniment
I like how you completely ignored the 2nd post which was made 5 minutes after when I spoke to my best pal. A member of the staff who's been with the club for over 10 years, a lad who I personally worked with at the football club. But of course I've just made the lot up. I completely made up every incoming and outgoing this window by chance. Grip.
I don't think you need to justify yourself. Your sources have been good enough for folks on here in the past, and I think we all simply want Kieffer to be well. I think you might want to be careful what info you give though, as you could get yourself and your friend into trouble. Not worth trying to appease folks on here. For the record, I think your post was honest.
Appreciate that fired. Frustrating when the same people who beg for news become the first to have a go. I said word for word what I got told, which when you read back it clearly states "suspected". Can we not all just breath a sigh of relief that the big man's ok, he's the man who'll win us this league. Up the reds.
Article from the Star this afternoon says that thankfully, Keiffer has not suffered any serious injury, which is good news. https://www.thestar.co.uk/sport/foo...s-as-good-as-a-win-for-rampant-reds-1-9586445
I would have thought from my limited medical knowledge that he would have been admitted to hospital based on Craig Sedgewick's assessment on Keiffer's 'Glasgow Coma Scale' and the decision to discharge him would be based on the overnight assessment on the same scale. Even with a skull fracture (depending on severity) you can be discharged if the GCS is high enough. The highest scale assessment is 15 and the lowest is 3, which is virtually dead.
I think the article is misleading. I stand to be corrected, but any actual injuries have not been confirmed by the club yet - either way. Hopefully they are right, but as discussed on here, there could still be issues to come out tomorrow.
Sounds like you’re going the same way as Redarmychris, be asking for 50 likes before you clarify what you meant soon. Chin up.
Hardly. 2 people (both with a record of having reasonably accurate inside knowledge) reported in good faith what they had heard first hand. They didn't do that for likes, or attention. They were trying to pass on information. As yet, the information from the club has not confirmed or denied what was said. It's quite possible the club doesn't even know the severity of the injury yet. People are simply making assumptions.
Probably. Didn't think the star journos are particularly close with the club. If Radio Sheffield had reported that I'd believe it.
Has this become your modus operandi, trying to make parallels with things which are oblique. You did the same with me last night.
This topic is about Moore and his injury let’s try keep it on topic please before it turns into another **** fest about Moncur or Brexit.
Whatever the nature of the injury, I'm sure the club will provide more information at the appropriate time. Until then, all we can do is keep our fingers crossed and wish Kieffer all the best for a full and speedy recovery.
Whilst a fractured skull can be easily diagnosed, without an MRI scan there is no way of assessing if there is any damage to the brain. Brain damage may not become immediately apparent following an injury. Is there a case for football players having regular MRI scans to monitor if any head injury or repeated heading of the ball is laying the basis for neurological problems in the future?
