If that's who they go for as a replacement striker, surely we wouldn't dare sell to them...... https://www.readytogo.net/smb/threads/grigg-moore-or-eves.1459479/
I like how they use the Moncur thing a reason why we’d sell him. Don’t realise that he’s been a fringe player for 2 and half seasons do they.
Who knows? Though if they're saying they're not creating many chances he may not do very well for them? I hope all this transfer talk isn't unsettling the team and we get the results to push us into second .
Like I said before, it doesn’t matter if he’s popular with them Sunderland fans in the slightest, if there owners/manager want to buy him that’s because they like him. Then it’s up to us if we sell him or not, zero part of that process has got anything to do with what the fans think. Just because Sunderland fans like Moore doesn’t mean their going to sign him, if Sunderland made a bid then that would increase the chance of signing him from 0 to 50% (Accept it or reject it) and if we accept it then it goes up to 75% then if he agrees then they sign him, the opinions of fans don’t matter.
Completely agree mate, bit daft just because some other club's fans are liking a player of ours means jack shìt. There's enough of a shitstorm brewing at the moment without adding any further to it. I might start a thread on Mbappe just to put the shits up PSG fans...
Really can’t see us selling an integral part of the squad when the stated intent is to gain promotion, particularly to such a main rival.
There was definite clamour from our fans to sign Moncur from our fans after we played Colchester. I’m sure the owners are inclined to go for a player that the fans would like them to if he fits the bill and can afford him.
How dilutional can you get Moore will cost them more than they got for Maja and then one says go for Winnall.
Nah! Even if they offer a lot. Why would the Player move? Not a step up and they have stopped entering into stupid money contracts. They need to get others off their books!
In this case it would be utter stupidity though, it’s like “what you’ve lost your main striker?wow that will put a serious crimp in your promotion bid, here have ours”
I think you are missing the point they are going for the likes of Grigg for less than £500.000, Moore will cost them a hell of lot more than that. I don't think there fans realise where they are financially.
Yeah as there was for re-signing Isgrove and if a player is available for the right price, fits with the clubs model and is wanted by the manager as well as being a popular decision with the fans then any board would be mental not to do it, what I’m saying is a club aren’t going to sign a player off fan reaction alone it’s got to be a signing the people involved with club are interested in first and if it’s immediatly popular with the fans then that’s a bonus.
Oh well, that means he's already gone. Once our higher ups realise somebody is prepared to wave pound notes under their noses then it'll be a done deal. Bye bye Kieffer.
All this 'he won't go' 'it isn't a step up ' is nonsense . If the asking price is met and the player is happy with the wage package he's gone . The so called big boys nick off us like we nick off the little clubs .
As a kid I was always told to not wish my life away but for the love of all that's holy I wish it was February 1st.
